The shareholders of Sasa Demarle group, Weinberg Capital Partners and Patrice Jacquelin, announce the sale of the Group to Argos Wityu funds and to the management team.

The Sasa Demarle Group is the world leader in the design and manufacture of baking equipment mainly for bakery and pastry professionals. For more than 30 years, the Group has developed innovative non-stick coatings for its products: baking trays and filets, trolleys, flexible molds and pastry mats. Capitalizing on a genuine know-how in the chemical formulation process (specific to the Group), the non-stick coatings application (silicone and fluoropolymer), and metalworking technologies, the Group is strongly positioned on most segments of the bakery and pastry markets.

« The Sasa Demarle Group has built its international reputation by developing and selling new products with innovative characteristics, being able to address a demanding clientele of professionals as well as a new clientele of individuals looking for top of the range products », comments Rudy Boussemart, CEO of the Sasa Demarle Group.

The Group operates mainly through two branches: Sasa, specialized in rigid and semi-rigid baking equipment and Guy Demarle, inventor of the flexible supports and molds under the Flexipan and Silpat brands. The Group relies on two production centers in France and three recoating centers (in France, China and the United States).

« Our aim is to allow the management team to accelerate the Group’s growth, by enhancing innovation and industrial investment, » adds Karel Kroupa, Partner at Argos Wityu. « The development will focus on both core businesses as well as on more recent segments, such as distribution to international retail chains selling kitchenware and bakeware to individuals. Thanks to its product quality, the Group has an excellent reputation and its brands Silpat and Flexipan enjoy a very good image and are widely recognized ».

The group has a turnover of nearly 60 million euros, more than half of which is outside of France mainly through a network of more than 80 specialized distributors throughout the world. The transaction also allows Patrice Jacquelin to retire from his Chairman of the Board position, while continuing to distribute Sasa Demarle Group products, via home-party sales in France, Belgium, Italy and the USA.

Rudy Boussemart, Chairman of the Sasa Demarle Group, comments: « With Weinberg Capital Partners operational and financial support, we have been able to strengthen our position as a global leader, mainly thanks to an ambitious strategy to develop our products abroad. We are pleased to welcome Argos Soditic as new majority shareholder to pursue our growth trend ». Benjamin Rousseau-Calisti, Director at WCP and Patrice Jacquelin commented: « We are proud to have contributed to the development of the group, mainly by supporting the management in its industrial strategy and its international business development, enabling the Sasa Demarle Group to consolidate its market positions. We are delighted to hand over to Argos Wityu who will boost Rudy Boussemart and his team to reach a new milestone in the development of the group ».
