Argos Wityu in exclusive negotiations with Automic for the sale of Orsyp
Paris, 30th April 2014 – The funds managed by Argos Wityu have received an offer on 100% of Orsyp and have entered into exclusive discussions with the automation software specialist Automic (formerly UC4), owned by the Scandinavian fund EQT.
Founded in 1986, Orsyp is the IT operations specialist for automating and optimizing the performance of business systems. Its transformational software is designed for the most demanding IT environments, wins back time every day, and is supported by deep expertise that is trusted by 1000 customers around the world. With Orsyp’s efficiency gains, IT executives deliver a multiplier effect on their IT operations.
The company was acquired by management and the Funds managed by Argos Wityu in December 2007. The action plan since then has given new momentum to Orsyp’s geographical expansion and allowed to invest heavily to develop the product portfolio with the backing of its financial partner. The company has hence multiplied by 2.5x its R&D expenditure, which has enabled a big technology leap in its lead product, Dollar Universe. In addition, in 2009 and 2012 Orsyp acquired two French companies, Sysload and Streamcore, further widening its product offering. Orsyp, based in France, has a large international presence notably in the US, Italy, Benelux, Asia and the UK.
François-Xavier Floren, CEO of Orsyp: « We have known and respected each other for years, which is why the Automic choice is both natural and obvious. It is now even more legitimate that our alliance will result in a large and active group and a major player in our sector.”
Louis Godron, Partner of Argos Wityu: “In the course of these 7 years together with Orsyp, thanks to the amazing job done by the management team, Orsyp has developed; it has acquired and integrated two companies with complementary activities, and has demonstrated its capacity for growth, even during difficult periods. We are proud to have supported this entrepreneurial adventure and contributed to the transformation of the group.”
