Argos Wityu is further expanding its European presence into Germany with the opening of a new office in Frankfurt. From March 1st 2016 a team of 5, headed by Frank Hermann, will complement the firm’s current operations in Benelux, France, Italy and Switzerland.

The addition of a local presence in Germany will assist Argos Wityu’s management teams and portfolio companies in other geographies to expand and address the German market.  The geographic expansion will also address opportunities within Argos Wityu’s core strategy, principally  unconventional opportunities and imperfect situations (such as team transitions, buy-ins, spin-offs and complex carve-outs), with a focus on transformation and growth rather than leverage.

Frank Hermann will join the team as lead partner in Germany from 1st March. Frank started his career with McKinsey & Company in Copenhagen. He then spent 13 years with Electra / Cognetas before leaving in 2012. Since then he has been an advisor to Axcel Partners in Denmark and in 2013 he founded DI Kapital in Frankfurt.

Frank will join Argos Wityu with three of his current colleagues. Together with one Argos associate who will transfer to Frankfurt from Argos Wityu’s Paris office, they will work with the existing Swiss based Argos team to cover the Swiss, German and Austrian markets.

Argos Wityu now covers all of the major markets in continental Europe from the firm’s offices in Brussels, Paris, Milan, Geneva and now Frankfurt.

Frank Hermann commented: “Over more than 25 years, Argos Wityu created an excellent track-record of complex and unconventional transactions. I am delighted to join such a highly reputable group and help to expand its differentiated approach into Germany.”
