Gilles Mougenot has been a leading player in French private equity since 1984, when he established the Mergers and Acquisition Department at the French National Agency for the Creation of Companies (ANCE).
In 1985 he participated in the founding and development of Initiative et Finance, a leading French private equity firm focused on small companies. As founder of Argos Wityu in 1989, he has led or participated in more than twenty management buy-outs and brought two companies to successful public offerings on the Paris stock exchange. Investments which he has led include Du Pareil au Même, Eau Ecarlate, Saime, Roc Eclerc et Alkan.
In 2003, Gilles Mougenot was appointed President of the AFIC (Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital) for the year 2003/2004. He is the author of “TOUT SAVOIR SUR LE CAPITAL INVESTISSEMENT” (Gualino, 4th edition).
Gilles Mougenot has a post graduate degree in business law from the University of Paris and is a graduate of the French Comparative Law Institute.
