Jean-Pierre Di Benedetto

Jean-Pierre joined the Milan office of Argos Wityu in 2005.

He led the spin-off of the luxury packaging group GPP, which was exited in 2008. He also led the acquisition (MBI) of Sapore di Mare (frozen fish retail chain) in 2011 and the acquisition (MBO) of Fis-Antex (renamed F2A – payroll and HR services outsourcing) in 2012. In 2013 he led the acquisition of VDP – Via delle Perle (luxury apparel).

Previously he was Investment Manager at Arca Impresa Gestioni, a leading Italian private equity investor, where he participated in a number of Italian and cross-border buy-out transactions.

Prior to this, from 1994 he worked as a derivatives trader in London, Tokyo and New York for JP Morgan and then from 1997 for Credit Suisse First Boston as a Vice President.

Jean-Pierre graduated summa cum laude in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
He is a Director of the Board of the Italian Private Equity Association (AIFI), the Vice-Chairman of the Mid Market Commission and a former member of the Tax & Legal Commission.

Jean-Pierre has been a Visiting Professor of Finance and Capital Markets in several Universities and institutions (Bocconi University, Polytechnic of Milan, etc.) and he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Harvard Business Review.
