Argos Wityu gaat exclusieve onderhandelingen aan met Providence Strategic Growth voor de verkoop van I’Car Systems en DATAFIRST.

Londen, VK en Parijs, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Lyon, Frankrijk – 10 juli 2019 – Argos Wityu, de Europese onafhankelijke private equity groep, heeft vandaag aangekondigd exclusieve onderhandelingen aangegaan te zijn met de fondsen die geadviseerd worden door Providence Strategic Growth (“PSG”), de growth equity tak van Providence Equity Partners (“Providence”), met het oog op het bereiken van een definitieve overeenkomst voor de verkoop van I’Car Systems en DATAFIRST, de leidende Franse softwareontwikkelingsbedrijven voor automobielproducenten en dealers. I´Car Systems en DATAFIRST zijn portfolio bedrijven van het 6e Argos fonds.

I’Car Systems voorziet een internationaal netwerk van autodealers met een geïntegreerd dealermanagementsysteem (“DMS”) dat de activiteiten van de dealer vereenvoudigt om zo de relatie tussen dealers en original equipment manufacturers (“OEMs”) te stroomlijnen. DATAFIRST ontwikkelt en verdeelt drie centrale modulaire management-, marketing- en verkoopoplossingen voor de automobielmarkt: Automobiele CRM, Automobiele DMS en Web & Business Intelligence-oplossingen.

Sinds de overname door Argos Wityu in 2013 zijn de inkomsten van I’Car Sytems met meer dan 50% toegenomen, voornamelijk als gevolg van:

  • Aanzienlijke recruteringsinspanningen in productontwikkeling, marketing en diensten;
  • Investeringen in productinnovatie; en
  • Internationale expansie, voornamelijk via de overname van hun Spaanse en Portugese verdelers.

I’Car Systems en DATAFIRST fusioneerden in april 2018 met de steun van Argos Wityu om zo een Franse leider met grotere groeiambities te creëren.

De transactie is onderhevig aan de gebruikelijke overnamegoedkeuringen.
