Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
Catherine
My name is Catherine Hubertus Henry. I was educated as an accountant, and I have been working in the financial sector in Luxembourg for 30 years. I am married, and I have three daughters, aged 27, 22 and 17. I live with my family in the Lorraine region of France, where I grew up.
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos
Catherine
After three years at PWC and 25 years in the same management company, I spent a few years with a service provider and decided in June 2023 to join a family office to be considered more as a whole person, rather than as a yield or a number. I was recruited to reinforce the Lux team as Senior Accountant.
Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Catherine
When I started my studies, I knew I would like to explore more than one activity or business environment. After investment funds and capital markets, I found the PE world fascinating.
The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?
Catherine
It is a buy-in/buy-out process, through which cash is made available to the company in the form of working capital.
The feeling that guides you the most in your daily life?
Catherine
Being proud of my accomplishments at the end of each day, and learning something new each day.
What encounter - or moment - has marked your journey at Argos?
Catherine
From my first day as a new joiner, I really appreciated the welcome lunches with my team and with other Argos members. It was an opportunity to enjoy some time together and present ourselves.
To describe yourself further: It is said that we are the average of the people we meet. Who do you think they are and how do they influence you?
Catherine
I like the respect and the commitment at Argos, and I often think of “doing unto others as I would have them do unto me”. I am sensitive, I like to discuss/debate and form my own opinion of the people I meet.
In a more general way, is there a person you admire, who inspires you on a daily basis? (e.g. writer, artist, politician, etc.)
Catherine
In general, I am always inspired by people who have succeeded in life, but the most important thing is to do well for yourself.
How do you find balance in your life as a whole?
Catherine
Coming from a service provider, where my professional responsibilities left little room for my personal life, I decided to work part-time with one day off for me and my family. I use that time to organise family get-togethers.
Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Catherine
I run twice a week, and I like the cinema, as well as walking and bicycling in nature.

”Being proud of my accomplishments at the end of each day, and learning something new each day.“
How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Catherine
I don’t know, since it depends on my future state of mind. Maybe spending more time in my vegetable garden 😊
Do you have a place to share with us that reflects you? A place that inspires you and contributes to your balance?
Catherine
A beach in the north of France.
In another life, you would be...?
Catherine
A journalist.
