Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
Katharina
My name is Katharina Fege and at Argos, I work from the Frankfurt office.
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos?
Katharina
Until now, I have always worked in large banks. What attracted me to Argos is the opportunity to have a lot of freedom in a dynamic private equity fund and to work with a transnational team towards the same goals.
Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Katharina
No, actually, I would have liked to start in an EU or OSCE organization. Instead, I began my professional career in a large American bank in Munich. At the time, I didn’t yet know that I would end up working in the private equity sector
The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. How do you see it?
Katharina
A solution to help companies reach their full potential.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Katharina
I wake up every morning with the goal of contributing to something. That’s why my job in investor relations suits me perfectly. Success is transparent and absolutely measurable!
What moment has marked your journey at Argos?
Katharina
Team spirit and cohesion, entrepreneurial thinking, and a passion for private equity are truly unique.
To describe yourself further: It is said that we are the average of the people we meet. Who do you think they are and how do they influence you?
Katharina
First, it’s my parents, then certainly people in the profession and my partner. Additionally, friends can also have a significant influence. I think it’s generally important to surround yourself with people who inspire you, who have their own visions, and who can rejoice in the successes of others. At Argos, for example, successes are celebrated together – an individual’s success is also a team success and vice versa.
You interact daily with managers. Is there an entrepreneur you admire in the market?
Katharina
Every visionary entrepreneur inspires me because they are generally courageous and take calculated risks to successfully realize their business idea.
How do you balance your professional and personal life?
Katharina
When work is a lot of fun, you gladly take care of these matters. Therefore, I probably don’t need much compensation; I would rather call it variation. I think I enjoy the things that make life so pleasant: good food, time spent with family and friends, sports, and of course, some travel destinations
Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Katharina
I love photography. Capturing beautiful moments and freezing them in time is a real pleasure!
