Can you introduce yourself in a few words? Your age, your family situation and the country you live in?

My name is Kim, I am married, and I live in Frankfurt, Germany.
What path led you to Argos and the position you hold today?

Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Kim
I knew that I wanted to do “something in finance” but didn’t really know in which area I would end up. Seeing seven different departments of the bank during the dual study programme and several more through internships and work experience, it became clearer to me that I wanted to work in the fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment of private equity. I wanted to contribute to companies’ long-term value creation through a team of smart and wonderful people, and this is exactly what Argos has to offer.
The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?
Kim
As for how I see it, private equity is a multifaceted realm where financial experts, strategists, and managers collaborate to reshape businesses and create value. It’s where innovation, risk, and opportunity intersect. For companies, PE firms offer the opportunity to enter a partnership offering both financial and strategic support and collaboration, thus enhancing their value creation. For this reason, PE also has the potential to add significant value when it comes to making our world more sustainable and shaping a greener future.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Curiosity about what the day will bring, and excitement to contribute to something bigger.
How do you find balance in your life as a whole?
Kim
I always like to challenge myself, even in my leisure time. I love sports and have played field hockey since I was a child. Being outside and learning something new, like sailing, golfing, jogging, skiing, or travelling the world – preferably with my family – provides balance in my life. Of course, I also enjoy a good book / movie or a relaxed game night with friends and family! 😊
How do you see yourself in 10 years?

I hope to be the same, but more experienced Kim, looking back at several successful deals with Argos.
