Can you introduce yourself in a few words? Your age, your family situation and the country you live in?
Catherine
I am 39 years old, married with two children, and I live in Belgium.
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos?
Catherine
After studying to be an executive secretary, I worked in the banking sector for several years. I then had a position as an administrative assistant for a well-known Luxembourg investment firm. Since joining Argos Wityu, I have been able to fully develop and apply my legal and administrative skills.
Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Catherine
No. When I was a student, I didn’t know the world of finance very well. It was during my first job, in banking, that I came to enjoy it.
The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?
Catherine
Private equity means investing capital in companies that are not traded on a stock exchange.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Catherine
Motivation. I always try to take on new challenges and to see the glass as half full.
What encounter - or moment - stands out in your time at Argos?
Catherine
Meeting my co-workers at the Luxembourg office (Olivier and Nathalie).
To describe yourself further: It is said that we are the average of the people we meet. Who do you think they are and how do they influence you?
Catherine
I think I am socially accessible, sensitive and compassionate. In my work, I am quite well organised and exacting.
In a more general way, is there a person you admire, who inspires you on a daily basis?
Catherine
I admire people who succeed in life yet who remain humble and kind.
How do you balance your professional and personal life?
Catherine
After my children were born, I decided to work part-time so as to have a better mix between work and family. Once I take care of my obligations, I have some time for myself and can also participate in sporting activities.
Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Catherine
I like to read, travel, learn new things, cook and spend time with family and friends.
In another life, you would be... ?
Catherine
The same, but with what I have learned through the experiences of my life.

“I think I am socially accessible, sensitive and compassionate. In my work, I am quite well organised and exacting.”
How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Catherine
That’s a tough question. I hope I’ll feel equally fulfilled in my life and also be in good health.
Do you have a place to share with us that reflects you? A place that inspires you and contributes to your balance?
Catherine
I love the calm of the mountains. Their beauty, majesty and fresh air give me renewed strength.
