Can you introduce yourself in a few words? Your age, your family situation and the country you live in?

29 years old, in a happy relationship and living in Frankfurt.
What path led you to Argos and the position you hold today?
Onur
I worked in my father’s company for two years and gained an understanding of the entrepreneurial side. After that, I worked in private equity and then in M&A for two years, when I got the chance to return to the buy side
The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?
Onur
Creating value is the essence of private equity – Innovation, enhancement and sustainability should lie at the core of any value-creation concept. This requires vision, leadership, knowledge, and cooperation. You also have to know how to empower people and how to implement new ideas.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Onur
6 out of 7 days, my dachshund wakes me up in the morning. Besides that, I set ambitious goals early on, and as optimistic as I am, I aim to advance one step at a time.
To describe yourself further: It is said that we are the average of the people we meet. Who do you think they are and how do they influence you?
Onur
Friends from home, fellow students from the university and my girlfriend. These people have been the pillars of my life, and I hope they will continue to be into the future.
How do you find balance in your life as a whole?
Onur
Working in banking can be quite intense, and finding balance is the key. Sometimes this can be as easy as walking to the office in the morning instead of taking the subway. Apart from that, I love the atmosphere in the mountains or just spending time with my family.
