Can you introduce yourself in a few words? Your age, your family situation and the country you live in?
Marine
My name is Marine. I am 33 years old, and I live in Paris.
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos.
Marine
I began my career working in the film industry as an assistant director and then as a director. As a millennial, I grew up with social media, and I realise how the film/photo format has evolved over the past ten years. Visual content has become one of the most important ways to project the corporate image. I had the opportunity to join a fashion brand called ‘emoi emoi’ to lead all communication campaigns as well as digital creation to increase online brand visibility. I met Coralie Cornet (Head of communication at Argos Wityu), through a friend, and we spoke about how financial communication needed to modernise and boost its digital component to bring out its organisation’s value. I was confident that by implementing a few key strategies we could establish the same balance between facts and emotional appeal that has been so successful in other industries.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Marine
Meeting people, finding beauty, telling stories.
Some say we are the average of the people we meet. What do you think? What do you think?
Marine
I think my father, a compulsive entrepreneur, influenced my desire and willingness to embrace a unique career. I was also shaped by my mother’s sensibility – her taste for beautiful things, her capacity for wonder. And of course, my friends are the people who inspire me the most.
Is there a person you admire, who inspires you on a daily basis (e.g. a writer, artist, politician, etc.)?
Marine
I recently discovered Christian Bobin, a writer who describes the world like no one else.
How do you find balance in your life as a whole?
Marine
Always having a personal side project: A forthcoming journey, a sporting challenge (not often, though), a room to renovate!
Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Marine
Hosting people for a weekend, setting a pretty dinner table, laughing through the night. I don’t usually draw a line between my personal and professional interests. Creativity is an integral part of both sides of my life.
How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Marine
Winning an Oscar in Hollywood ; )

Do you have a special place that reflects who you are, that inspires you and contributes to your balance?
Marine
I lived in Montreal for four years. We used to escape the city during the weekend to rent chalets in the middle of nowhere. There’s no doubt that the winter is harsh, with temperatures well below 0°C, but the snow-covered landscapes are truly magical. This gave me a peaceful and contented feeling that I’ve never had anywhere else.

For sure a composer with a piano as my main instrument!
