Can you introduce yourself in a few words? Your age, your family situation and the country you live in?
Rosario
I am 29, Italian, and I live in Paris. I have a dual degree in Italian and French law and a specialised master in international projects from ESCP EUROPE.
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos?
Rosario
After my law studies in Florence and Paris, I started to work in London as a financial crime analyst for an international bank. In 2019, I came back to Paris, where I joined PwC as a senior consultant in the financial services regulatory department. After these experiences, I joined Argos in January 2023.
Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Rosario
When you start your studies, you never know what you want to do at the end, but a career in compliance was not in my thoughts. At the beginning I wanted to be a judge, but financial crime regulation caught my interest when I finished my studies.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Rosario
My caffeine dependence.
How do you find balance in your life as a whole?
Rosario
I am still trying to find an answer to this question. If you can find one please call me!
Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Rosario
Well, I love cinema, and here in Paris I found my little paradise. Enjoying a movie at “La Filmothèque” or “Le Champo” in the Latin Quarter is an experience everyone needs to try at least once in life.
How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Rosario
Probably as chief compliance officer of an asset management company.
Do you have a place to share with us that reflects you?
Rosario
Matera. It’s city in southern Italy near where I was born. It is one of the oldest cities in the world and a symbol of ancient rural culture. I can’t explain why but I find great peace in this city. I must visit it at least once a year.
In another life, you would be... ?
Rosario
A chef. I love cooking (and I love eating even more!).
