Argos Wityu, an independent European investment fund, has promoted Roel van Ark and Arne Louwagie as Directors, Gabriele Scalco as Investment Manager, and Aïssatou Dia and Marc Faucon as Associates. The investment team has a total of 36 members.

Arne Louwagie, Director, joined Argos Wityu in 2016 as member of the Benelux Investment team.
Graduated from the University of Leuven (Belgium) with a M.Sc. in Business Engineering, Arne also holds a Master in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School (Belgium). He started his career in 2014 as M&A advisor in Amsterdam (the Netherlands), specializing in food and agribusiness transactions.
Next to Schenk, Arne currently supports Gantrex and Lineas, where he also holds a position of board member. He has further been involved in the following operations:
- The acquisition of Cohedron (2017) and the development of its strong buy-and-build strategy;
- The acquisition of Schenk (2021);
- Supported portfolio companies in acquiring 8 build-ups.
Roel van Ark, CFA, Director, joined Argos Wityu in 2019 as member of the Benelux Investment team.
Graduated from a B.B.A. in international business, finance, and economics at St. Norbert College and a CFA Charter holder (2022), Roel began his career in London, UK at PwC Strategy& focused on Corporate Strategy and M&A Commercial Due Diligence. Subsequently, he went to a lower mid-market UK Private Equity firm focused on operational turnaround in the healthcare and consumer sectors (incl. interim C-level management roles).
Roel currently supports IJssel Technologie as a board member, and has been involved in the following operations:
- Divestment of Cohedron after a very active buy-and build strategy with 17 build-up operations, and a significant refinancing;
- Acquisitions and portfolio management of IJssel Technologie;
- Special involvement in setting up the firm’s presence, and growing the team, in The Netherlands.
Gabriele Scalco, Investment Manager, joined Argos Wityu in 2019 as member of the Italian Investment team.
Graduated from a Bachelor in Economics and Management and holding a Masters in Finance both from Bocconi University (Italy), Gabriele joined Argos in 2019 after spending two years working as an investment analyst at Tikehau – a leading global asset manager.
Gabriele currently supports Moro, Sicura and SB Italia, for which he was involved in the acquisition.
Aïssatou Dia, Associate, joined Argos Wityu in 2022 as a member of the French Investment team.
Aïssatou graduated from ESCP-Europe Business School (Paris and London) with a Master in Finance and an academic exchange at the University of Southern California – USC (Los Angeles). She joined Argos Wityu after a two-year experience in the Deals Graduate Program at PwC. Before that, Aïssatou completed various internships at Deloitte, L’Oréal and Total. She also holds CFA levels 1 and 2.
Aïssatou is currently involved in the monitoring of EPC Group in addition to reviewing several transaction opportunities. She was also part of the team working on the setup of the Argos Climate Action strategy, which aims at shaping European sustainable leaders by making their ‘grey-to-green’ transition.
Marc Faucon, Associate, joined Argos Wityu in 2020 as member of the French Investment team.
Graduated from ESSEC Business School with a M.Sc in Management and McGill University with a B.A. in Economics. Before joining Argos, Marc has launched a start-up at the intersection of gaming and sports sponsorship.
Marc currently supports Talentia Software and Agôn Electronics where he is a board member. He has been involved in the acquisitions of Julhiet Sterwen (2021) and Agôn Electronics (2022).
